I love going to Dr. Dharia! She is very thorough; she explains the procedure and everything in detail. I have never been to the dentist like her before because she genuinely takes time to explain everything on X-rays and take teeth pictures and show it! Great experience and personality! Highly recommend people out there to go with her! Also, the location has great views and that a plus!
Start Living Your Life Without Daily Headaches
Headaches, including migraines, can have a variety of causes. If you have tried a variety of relief efforts, but haven’t had success, you may actually have a problem with your jaw.
Teeth grinding can lead to problems with your temporomandibular joints (TMJs). Headaches are a common symptom of TMJ disorders. To stop these headaches — and earaches, jaw pain, and other TMJ-related problems — you need a special oral appliance.
This can be worn while you sleep. It serves two important purposes. First, it is a physical barrier between your top and bottom teeth. This prevents you from clenching and grinding your teeth together. Second, it keeps your jaw in a more relaxed position. That eases stress and strain on the TMJs and the surrounding muscles and ligaments., which can contribute to your headaches and other pain.
Another thing to consider is the alignment of your teeth. This can make grinding more likely. In those cases, orthodontic treatment, such as Invisalign, can be beneficial as well. The clear aligners can change how your teeth fit together, which can reduce grinding and help you stay pain-free.
